Well, dear Travels with Tavel… I think the latest mystery picture can be narrowed down to a continent, maybe… but country? region? exact spot? I think some clues are definitely in order.
Hello Susana – Well, without giving TOO much away, I just want you to be able to tell me something about WHERE this might be. How specific or vague you get is up to you. I’d say one clue is the color of the boy’s skin. Another is the quality of his clothes (or lack thereof) and the fact that he appears barefoot… You can start with that, and if you REALLY need a clue, I can provide one but… I think there is enough in there to guide you at least to a few guesses. The answer might be much more obvious than you realize…
I think this is a picture of someplace in Africa.
A tough one to narrow down to specifically without any additional information, unless you’re a topographical expert. I would say the Caribbean or South America could also be possibilities (boy holding stick, dominican republic, baseball etc…) but something about the landscape just seems to suggest Africa, specifically sub-Saharan Africa. Since we assume that Lisa visited the country herself, we can probably rule out countries that are not especially safe (Sierra Leone, Liberia, Congo, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Sudan etc.) and, if we play the percentages, assume it’s one of the country’s that westerners are more likely to visit (Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Ghana, Senegal, and to a lesser extent, Nigeria, Cameroon, Botswana). With no prior knowledge about trips that Lisa has taken, my guess would be either Kenya, Tanzania or South Africa.
